There are many reasons why I chose WordPress when I started blogging and why I still use it today. The main reason is this: in WordPress, I have complete control over my content. Let me explain.
First, it uses industry-standard programming languages. I am talking about PHP, HTML, Markdown, etc. my core content is not dependent upon the platform where it is now. If I decide to change and use another product, I won’t have to worry about the content format and how to convert it. I am not tied to WordPress.
Also, I have control over the product installation. I can install it on the server I choose. I have control over its installation files and databases. If I want to move the site to a different server, I can do that whenever I want. For example, if I am having problems with my current hosting service provider, I can easily move my WordPress site to another provider. I’ve already done that quite a few times before.
Another major advantage that I see is that WordPress is widely used. That brings many benefits, such as:
- It is easy to find experienced specialists in the market.
- Problems with the product are quickly identified and corrected.
- There are many plugins and themes available. Whatever you think of doing, if you can’t write it yourself, there is probably a plugin out there that can do it for you.
- Many users are testing it in many different conditions. You can trust that it is a solid product.
- And, of course, it is free.
There are other reasons that I use and recommend WordPress. These are the ones that are most critical to any business, in my opinion.

The one thing I like the most about WordPress is its compatibility with SEO work. Most of the clients I work with use WordPress websites, and it’s a lot easier to plan, organize, and execute technical SEO operations compared to other platforms. WordPress is very SEO-friendly, which is why our clients can often keep up the good work before and after we are done with their websites. On top of that, WordPress comes with some amazing plugins that can completely change the developing experience. In my case, YoastSEO is the plugin you always want to use.

In the blogging space, regular posting is a crucial ingredient for success. You always have to make sure that your site/page has updated posts to increase your traffic. This is how the scheduled post feature becomes handy.
It allows you to publish posts at your preferred future time and date. With this, you have complete control over how to publish your post on time. The best part is, you can set your live post during ‘peak hours.’ This is the time of the day wherein your site gets the most traffic. Publishing your post during your peak hours increases your engagement and gets you a higher chance for conversion.
Being in the digital marketing industry for seven years, this is my favorite WP feature that has helped me a lot.

WordPress is an invaluable tool for small business owners looking to create a website for their company. One of the most underrated and important features of WordPress is that everything created with WordPress meets the standards of the W3C, meaning that your website will work with the internet browsers of today and will continue to function once the next generation of internet browsers is introduced.

I love the wide variety of plugins, features, and customization that is available with WordPress. Generally, when something becomes the industry standard, there is a reason for it! As a content creator, it is also important to me to know that I still own the rights to everything that I host on the platform, which is not always the case with other website platforms. I love that there is a wide range of options for people who are beginners and may need a template for their site, all the way to endless opportunities to build exactly what you want from scratch. With the vast selections of plugins, you can never run out of different things to try to improve your site and help it have integrations with other software and social media platforms that you’re using to build your site.

My favorite feature that’s straight within the WordPress Blog platform is the block editor. As a digital marketer and content creator, it makes my life so easy to be able to move blocks around without having to copy and paste. No need to worry about the formatting getting all messed up – a huge thumbs up for the block editor!
The other feature, or plugin, rather, that saves me constantly, is the Yoast SEO plugin. Optimizing content and readability have literally never been easier. I don’t want to sound too extra, but truly, its help makes a huge difference. The Yoast plugin will show you exactly what you need to do in order to optimize your post for search engines. For example, you can easily add a meta description and key phrases. Then, the plugin will show you exactly how many links your text has and what would be the optimal amount, as well as monitors the number of times you use your keywords. Simply put, it’s genius – and not too hard to work with! Yoast also helps you write content with optimal readability. By highlighting different issues in your text (such as passive voice, long or complicated sentences, etc), you can go straight in and edit your content where the issues are. Not only will this help with ranking well on search engines, but also helps your readers get through the whole post without wanting to click out of your WordPress site. And isn’t that what all of us are really aiming for?

I have been using WordPress for so long, and people mostly have a misconception about it is only a blogging platform. No, you are wrong! The much preferable aspect of WordPress is it is free software, which means anyone can download it, utilize it, and modify its add-ons to match their requirements. On top of that, as WordPress software is free of cost, it is used to build any website. Here you only need a web hosting and domain name. So you see, WordPress is totally free, as in freedom!
Numerous features are there for WordPress, which can make you fall in love with it. One of the most crucial features of WordPress is its hassle-free customization with plugins and themes. If you are a non-tech savvy person, WordPress would be a top-notch solution for you as countless free website templates are there for you to select from! Furthermore, it is SEO-friendly too. Its high-quality built-in code creates semantic mark-up, which makes search engines prefer WordPress more. Apart from this, it is totally safe and secure, which impedes encroachers from invading your protected information. Lastly, the list of features of WordPress is enormous; I personally prefer its customization, potential to handle diverse media types, easier manageability, and so on.

Theme previewing in WordPress is a very useful feature. It allows you to preview your themes before actually applying them thus saving you from the trouble of changing the theme again and again.
In the image editing mode, you can crop, rotate, and resize an image. You can also flip an image in horizontal or vertical directions. This feature allows adjusting images in your post according to the layout of your article.
Since WordPress 4.4, all WordPress sites have the feature of embedding content from some of the most popular websites like YouTube, Twitter, Instagram, etc It is done by simply pasting the URL of a post and it will automatically embed that post on your page.

I love the latest Elementor Page Builder plugin on WordPress. It comes equipped with live editing and designing features that help us test the website in real-time. This means what we see on Elementor is exactly how the site will look on the web. I think that’s gold because it saves valuable time and effort. Plus, the theme editor feature allows us to customize every aspect of the theme, and create a website that matches our vision. The open-source platform cuts all the hassle. The best thing about this is that we can always find help when we reach a dead end. Developers around the globe are constantly working to make the user experience as smooth as possible. So, it’s great to have constant technical support that helps us resolve issues on the go.
Andriy Bogdanov – CEO of Online Divorce
My decision to use WordPress was influenced by the goals I set for my company. When selecting a platform, I wanted something that was simple to use, accessible, and capable of SEO. WordPress met all of these requirements. As it’s a free and open-source platform, I have complete control over how my website looks, which plugins I use, and which themes I use to reflect the nature of my business. It is a very adaptable platform with easily added functionalities.
This was critical for my expanding business because it allowed me to make changes to the themes and plugins to better reflect the new services my company began to offer. The ability to preview and edit a theme before activating it is one of my favorite features. This is a useful feature because I don’t want to make changes just to have them have a negative impact on the appearance of my website and break its functionality. In line with this, it also supports a wide range of media formats, including videos, images, documents, and audio.
Finally, I appreciate that it has a large community that I can use as a resource whenever I’m unsure about something or have a question that I can’t find an answer to. Because the barriers to accessing the platform are few, many users have created online resources that outline the various functionalities and attributes of WordPress.

One of my favorite WordPress features is its ability to edit images with basic options. Sometimes when uploading an image to your website, you need to perform some minor changes to it. You do not want to open the image in another editing software, make the changes, and upload it again. The image editor in WordPress makes it very convenient to make some fundamental changes to images like crop, rotate, and resize. Furthermore, you can flip the image horizontally and vertically using the editor. You can access the editor on WordPress by clicking the edit image button under the preview section of the image. The editor also allows you to perform a few detailed tasks like setting the aspect ratio, scaling the image manually, or setting up the thumbnail. These options are quite helpful as they can be previewed side by side and make rapid changes. Good luck with your piece.
Let’s Wrap It Up!
As you can see, WordPress features cover every need of website creators. This flexible CMS is SEO friendly, allows easy customization, it follows the best coding practices, and constantly changes to stay up to date. Plus, its huge community is always there to help you if you have any questions or doubts. In the end, WordPress works with every plugin you could imagine, so you can easily boost your functionalities if needed.
