Tips on Hiding WordPress Admin Bar
The first thing that you can see when you login to your WordPress site is the presence of an admin bar that is located in the uppermost section of your screen. Some of its features include a possibility of creating new pages or posts, editing your profile, and more. However, despite being useful in that regard, the presence of this toolbar may appear distracting to many users. This is especially true of developers who don’t want it to divert attention from any specific design they’ve applied to their website. 1. Go to Users -> All Users
As this toolbar is only visible to logged users, the first thing that you will have to do is login into your WordPress website and access the Dashboard. In order to hide the admin bar, you should go to Users tab and click on All Users option. Again, it doesn’t matter if you’re using the Classic or the Gutenberg editor, it’s all the same.
2. Click Edit
Then, simply find the username that you want to apply changes for and click on Edit button.
If you want to specifically remove the toolbar from your own profile, then instead of selecting All Users from the first step, you can click on Go to Users first. Afterwards, select Your Profile option.
3. Uncheck the Show toolbar when viewing site
Once you are in profile page, find the Toolbar option and uncheck Show Toolbar when viewing site checkbox.
4. Scroll down and click Update User/Profile at the end of the page
Finally, you can scroll down and click on Update Profile or Update User button, depending on whether you chose All Users or Your Profile option after clicking on Users button.
And you’re done! You can breathe a sigh of relief – your WordPress toolbar won’t be displayed on the front-end of your website anymore. Now you can enjoy your website’s distraction-free design to the fullest.
